Example: Documentation of an Outsert Part Structure

Outsert assembly references

Outsert technology refers to plastic functional elements which are injection moulded onto a mostly planar sheet metal base.

Pro/ENGINEER® assemblies allow a multitude of references between components. Therefore it is useful to devise an optimized working method in cooperation with the customer which is then properly documented, especially in case of tasks uncommon to most users.

The complete documentation consists of a number of HTML pages which not only illustrate the result but also the necessary steps to accomplish it.
The advantages of HTML include the possibility to open the help page in the internal browser within Pro/ENGINEER and to interact with the current model via Pro/Web.Link. Above all the documentation is operating system independent.

If available, a Windows SharePoint Wiki may as well be used for the documentation.
